Samaritan Purse provides relief supplies for Tigray regional state
Addis Ababa, February 28, 2021 (FBC) –Samaritan Purse, a humanitarian aid organization, has provided additional humanitarian supplies worth over 8 million birr to displaced people living in the Tigray regional state.
Samaritan’s Purse DC-8 airlift which departed on Friday from Greensboro, North Carolina, carrying supplies arrived today at the Alula Aba Nega airport, Mekelle city.
Chief Executive of the interim administration of Tigray regional state, Dr Mulu Nega, received the donation, including thousands of solar lanterns and over a thousand rolls of tarp for repairing or constructing shelters.
On February 12, Samaritan’s Purse also airlifted 1,800 cases of ready-to-use supplemental food supplies to help feed affected children in the regional state.
