Russian cosmonaut presents photo of Dallol snapped from space to Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, March 30, 2023 (FBC) – The renowned Russian cosmonaut and Space Engineer, Sergey Kud-Sverchkov has presented to Ethiopia a photo of Dallol in Danakil Depression, Afar Region.
In a an event held in the Russian House in Addis Ababa, Sergey Kud-Sverchkov handed over the photograph to public representatives with a view to honor the longstanding bilateral ties between Ethiopia and Russia.
Dallol, Ethiopia is the hottest place on Earth based on year-round averages, and one of Ethiopia’s tourist attraction sites visited by thousands of foreign tourists every year.
Sergey Kud-Sverchkov performed his spaceflight in 2020 and spent 185 days aboard the International Space Station as a flight engineer for ISS Expedition 63/64.
As a member of Expedition ISS-64, Sergei Kud-Sverchkov had been working for six months onboard International Space Station alongside his crewmates from Japan and USA.
