Russian Center for Science and Culture in Addis Ababa opens geological class
Addis Ababa, December 17, 2023 (FBC) – The Russian Center for Science and Culture (Pushkin Center) in Addis Ababa has opened geological class and unveiled expansion works in the existing training departments.
During the launching ceremony, Ambasssador of the Russian Federation to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin exclusively told FBC that the newly opened would help Ethiopian students to contribute their part in exploring and utilizing nation’s immense natural resources.
Saying that the center has already providing Russian language and painting courses, the Ambassador added that the opening of the geological course reveals the commitment of his country to share experiences with Ethiopia in the sector.
Ambassador Evegeny Terekhin stated that Ethiopian and Russia have been cementing their 125 years of diplomatic ties in multifaceted areas of cooperation, explaining that the courses being offered by the center are contributing their part in strengthening cultural and people to people ties between the two countries.
Almaz Gebremeskel, a trainer in the Pushkin Center, for her part, said that the departments in the center have been well equipped with teaching aids, advanced technologies and skilled workforce so that they can offer quality trainings for Ethiopian youths.
