Resolve to Save Lives opens country office in Ethiopia, inks MoU with MoH
Addis Ababa, October 7, 2023 (FBC) – The Ministry of Health and Resolve to Save Lives have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to to boost cooperation following the inauguration of its country office in Ethiopia, according to the Minister of Health, Dr. Lia Taddese.
In a post published on her social media page, the Health Minister confirmed that she attended the inauguration of Resolve to Save Lives Country office in Ethiopia with Dr. Thomas R. Frieden, Dr. Manuel and his team.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Dr. Lia applauded the Resolve to Save Lives’ support from hypertension control and sodium reduction to epidemic preparedness and response, which she said aligns with Ethiopia’s national priorities.
After the opening of the country office, both the Ministry of Health and Resolve to Save Lives signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their partnership.
“Strong partnership is key to enhance our efforts to save more lives, safeguard our communities from epidemics and build a healthier and more resilient Ethiopia,” Dr. Lia emphasized.
It is learned that Resolve to Save Lives is a not-for-profit organization partnering with countries, communities and organizations to prevent 100 million deaths from cardiovascular disease and make the world safer from epidemics.
