Republic of Korea vows to continue strengthening its all-round relations with Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, February 20, 2023 (FBC) – Republic of Korea special envoy reiterated that his country will continue to strengthen its all-round relations with Ethiopia in various spectra.
Jang Sung Min, the Special Envoy of the President of Republic of Korea YOON Suk-yeol, paid a working visit to Ethiopia.
Jang Sung Min, in his remarks regarding his working visit, said that Ethiopia and South Korea are countries with historical and strong relations.
In particular, Ethiopia’s help to the Republic of Korea during the Korean War is always important, he said.
The special envoy mentioned that his country is supporting Ethiopia in various areas, reaffirming that the cooperation will continue to be strengthened in the future.
He underscored that currently, Republic of Korea has donated 500 million USD in aid to Africa, of which 20 percent (100 million USD) has been allocated to Ethiopia.
Jang Sung Min confirmed that South Korea will provide the necessary support for Ethiopia’s economy, development, and peace.
He stated that concerted activities will be carried out on culture and other sectors to further strengthen the people-to-people relations of the two countries, as per FBC’s Melaku Gedif.
