Renowned Ethiopian Islamic Scholar Haji Mohammed Alsafi passes away 

September 12, 2021 (FBC) – The renowned Ethiopian Islamic Scholar Haji Mohammed Alsafi has passed away.

Sheik Mohammed Alsafi co-founded the Ethiopian Islamic Supreme Council with Haji Mohammed Sani Habib and served the council as a president for several years.

He attended Islamic teachings including Quran Tafsir and Hadith and others from various Ulamas at home and abroad such as Saudi Arabia, and wrote a number of religious books. He was survived by daughters and sons.

The renowned scholar laid to rest at Kolfe Islamic Cemetery in Addis Ababa.
