Regional election coordinating offices receiving voting materials

Addis Ababa, June 19, 2021 (FBC) – National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is dispatching voting materials to its branches across the country.

Head of NEBE Dire Dawa City coordinating branch, Ziad Yasin the brach office has received all the necessary voting materials sent by the central office.

He announced 2 seats for the House of Peoples’ Representatives and 47 seats for the city council.

Branches in Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples and Sidama regions have also received voting materials and distributed the supplies to constituencies and polling stations.

The regional branches said that they have been using various mode of transportation to distribute the election materials.

Gurage Zone and Yem Special Zone Electoral Board Coordinating Office Head, Asalifew Mekuria, to his part, said the branch has fully received materials and finalized preparations to fully deliver them to constituencies and polling stations till end of tomorrow afternoon.

NEBE sent gratitude to the Ethiopian Airlines for effectively transporting voting materials and other necessary equipment to regional branches.

Police and security forces of regional states have announced readiness to ensure peaceful electoral process.
