Recent diplomatic engagements show gov’t’s due emphasis to Ethiopia’s economy: MFA Spokesperson
Addis Ababa, March 9, 2023 (FBC) – Recent diplomatic engagements by senior government officials are attestations of the due emphasis that the government of Ethiopia has given to strengthening the country’s economy, Amb. Meles Alem, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia said in delivering the Ministry’s weekly briefing today.
Amb. Meles reviewed the significance of the visit of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to Qatar, Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister, Demeke Mekonnen, participation in the Second Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit, Finance Minister, Ahmed Shide’s visit to China, and MFA Ethiopia State Minister Meganu Arga visit to Qatar to boost Ethiopia’s economy and bilateral relations.
The Spokesperson stated that the on-going visits of a 70-member delegation of Pakistani business people in Ethiopia is key in furnishing valuable information on investment incentives and opportunities for investors and increase Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflow to the country.
