Public servants will undergo competency assessment as of next month
Addis Ababa, March 27, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Civil Service Commission announced plant to commence assessing competencies of public servants as of next month.
The assessment will be undertaken based on manuals and criteria developed by the Ethiopian Civil Service University, the commission stated.
Commission explained that the assessment is intended to create a more competent manpower demanded by the ongoing change in the nation.
Bezabih Gebreyes, Commissioner of the Ethiopian Civil Service Commission told ENA that all the preparations needed to undertake the competency mapping have been finalized.
Ethiopia has already put in place a ten year perspective plan in a way to inject the employment market with competent workforce.
