Public mass rally continues for 2nd day in different cities, towns in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, October 23, 2022, (FBC) – Hundreds of thousands of Ethiopians took it to the streets of cities and towns to rally against Western powers and international organizations unjust pressure and intervention on the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, on Sunday 23 October.
Themed “We Speakout for Ethiopia”, the public mass rally continues for the second day in a row in cities and towns across Amhara region and other areas.
The demonstrators showed support and solidarity to the Ethiopian governments’ efforts to maintain the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
Carrying different placards, demonstrators condemned the unjust pressure and politically motivated intervention of Western powers and international organizations.
They denounced efforts to buy time to the terrorist TPLF in the name of negotiation, stating; “We do not negotiate on our sovereignty”, “Stop intervention in the name of humanitarian aid”, “Respect our sovereignty”, “Stop buying time to TPLF and prolonging our pains”, “Giving the chance to TPLF for 4th round attack is not acceptable”, “#NoMore to proxy war.”
They also acknowledged those who stood by Ethiopia, saying; “We salute those who stood with the Ethiopian cause”.
It is to be remembered that millions of Ethiopians staged a mass public rally on Saturday 22 October.
This public mass rally was organized by professional associations, civic associations and different political parties of Ethiopia.
