Prosperity Party electing its president and vice presidents

Addis Ababa, February 2, 2025 (FMC) — The ruling Prosperity Party of Ethiopia is holding the election for its president and vice presidents on the third day of its 2nd congress this morning.

The party’s congress officially began last Friday with a grand opening ceremony attended by 2,100 participants under the theme “From Pledge to Practice”.

The voting session is being held in the presence of 1,700 voting participants, as well as 400 local and foreign guests, including leaders and representatives of parties from 15 countries.
