PM Abiy launches the 3rd National Skills Competition fair
Addis Ababa, May 22, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed officially opened the 3rd National Skills Competition.
The competition will reportedly be held for the next five days from today under the theme ‘Skills for Competitiveness’ organized by the Minister of Labour and Skills of Ethiopia.
It is stated that the event consists of innovative works fair, panel discussion, and other programs.
During his opening remarks, Prime Minister Abiy said competition will play an integral role to corroborate the talent and competence of young people and create market linkages.
Emphasizing the importance of innovation to enrich Ethiopia and modernize all sectors, the Prime Minister underscored that since all sectors in Ethiopia are rich in inputs, innovativeness and skills should be increased.
Prime Minister Abiy also entrusted innovative professionals to focus on result-oriented work beating through the challenges they face.
“Being solutions oriented is essential to transform Ethiopia. A nationwide skills competition has begun today where young people with different skills and abilities are presenting their creative works. Let’s be strong; let’s innovate; let’s focus on solution to overcome challenges.
