Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed praises ongoing reforms as Key for enduring success
Addis Ababa, September 7, 2024 (FBC) – In his Reform Day message on the 2nd Day of the month of Pagumen, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed stated that past revolutionary moves have failed to lay the foundation for enduring institutions in Ethiopia.
“The revolutions have not enabled the nation to build enduring institutions. This is why we have chosen the path of reform,” the Prime Minister explained.
The Prime Minister noted that the government is committed to a detailed process of evaluation, filtering, and adapting reform practices that suit Ethiopia’s context while discarding those that do not align with national interests.
Highlighting the multifaceted approach of this reform agenda, the Prime Minister outlined notable advancements in various sectors, including political, economic, security, legal, agricultural, educational, and civil service reforms.
“We are achieving great successes with this concept,” he stated, adding that the collaborative efforts of citizens and the government are paramount to the success of these reforms.
“If we work together, there will be no reforms that we will not succeed, no prosperity that will not be achieved,” he asserted.
