President Taye, UN USG Rosemary DeCarlo discuss peace, security in Horn of Africa

Addis Ababa, October 18, 2024 (FBC) – President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Taye Atske-Selassie received Ms. Rosemary DeCarlo, Under Secretary General of the UN for Peace building and Political Affairs.

The two discussed on peace and security in the greater Horn of Africa, particularly Somalia.

“I reiterated the need for coordinated action by all stakeholders to ensure gains made in fighting terrorism should not be undone,” the President said in a social media post, regarding the meeting.
