President Taye Atsek-Selassie tours facilities in Quality Village
Addis Ababa, December 10, 2024 (FMC) – President Taye Atsek-Selassie visited the Quality Village, home to an array of quality infrastructure institutions dedicated to enhancing standards in various sectors.
During his tour, the President explored facilities equipped with advanced laboratory tools designed to uphold the quality of products and services in health, construction, agriculture, food and beverage, as well as industrial inputs.
Officials from the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, alongside leaders of the Quality Infrastructure Institutions, provided the President with insights into the significance of the Quality Village.
State Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, Endalew Mekonnen, highlighted that the construction of the Quality Village has been initiated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD).
With a construction investment of 8.2 billion birr, the village features a state-of-the-art laboratory and administrative buildings aimed at guaranteeing quality, as reported by the ministry.
Additionally, State Minister for Trade and Regional Cooperation, Abdulhakim Mulu (PhD), emphasized the village’s potential to significantly contribute to the country’s economic growth by ensuring the quality of import and export products.
