President Sahle-Work Zewde receives US Special Envoy for HoA Mike Hammer

Addis Ababa, August 5, 2022 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde received at her office the U.S. Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Mike Hammer and Ambassador Tracey Jacobson on Friday.

The President and the Special Envoy discussed bilateral issues of mutual concern and current developments in Ethiopia. The two sides have also exchanged views on efforts of Ethiopia to ensure peace through peaceful dialogue.

On the other hand, Deputy Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Campbell in the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) of the U.S. Department of State visited Ethiopia this week to visit refugee camps and to gain a deeper understanding of the refugee experience in the country.
