President Sahle-Work Zewde receives UNEP Asst. Secretary General Elizabeth Mrema

Addis Ababa, March 27, 2023 (FBC) –United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) Assistant Secretary General, Elizabeth Mrema paid a courtesy call to President Sahle-Work Zewde.

The discussion focused on the consequence of climate change and the strategies to alleviate its effects.

The President recalled the women Senior Manager group that she set up while in Nairobi in order to support and mentor the women to reach leadership positions. Mrema was a member of the group. The President congratulated Mrema for being appointed to this senior position.
