President Sahle-Work Zewde receives letters of credentials of five new ambassadors
Addis Ababa, March 5, 2021 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde has today received credential letters of new ambassadors of five countries.
The envoys who presented their letters of credence to the president are Geeta Pasi of the U.S., Gaen Kamau of Kenya, Tamara Mona of Switzerland, Mahamat Ali Hassen of Chad and Keninaba Jagye of Gambia.
President Sahle-Work discussed with the new ambassadors on latest developments in the country in the light of situation in Tigray and status of relations between Ethiopia and their respective countries.
Acccording to Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dina Mufti the new diplomats have pledged commitment to enhance relationship and cooperation between Ethiopia and their respective countries.
Ambassador Dina added that the new envoys have agreed up on the role of African countries in addressing African problems through the frameworks of AU.
