President Sahle-Work Zewde partakes in Women deliver 2023 Conference
Addis Ababa, July 18, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian President Sahle-Work Zewde is participating in Women deliver 2023 Conference taking place from July 17-20, 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda.
It is stated that Women Deliver 2023 is expected to launch data Engine for Gender Equality and Adolescent Social Norms.
The conference is being held under the theme “Maputo at 20: Bridging the Gap Between Policies and People”.
The conference brought together thousands of decision-makers from diverse backgrounds, including civil society, government, private sector, and international agencies, as well as feminist movements, and advocates for women, girls, and underrepresented groups.
The WD2023 conference also will put a greater emphasis on partnerships than ever before by connecting diverse actors and bringing country-level advocates’ perspectives into play both physically and virtually.
The Highlights of this event include; Inspiring Speeches on the plenary stage, engaging sessions and workshops and lively exhibition space among others.
The African Union Commission’s Women, Gender, and Youth Directorate (AUC-WGYD) and the African Development Bank’s Gender, Women and Civil Society Engagements (AfDB-AHGC) are organizers of the Africa Focused Sessions at the Women Deliver Conference.
The sessions are being held in collaboration with other key partners, UN Agencies, International Organizations, and CSOs.
