President Sahle-Work sends Irrecha festival best wishes

Addis Ababa, October 4, 2024 (FBC) – The FDRW President Sahle-Work Zewde, sent a message of best wishes to the Oromo community on the occasion of Irrecha festival 2024.

In her message, President Sahle-Work expressed her best wished health and peace to the entire Oromo people on the occasion of the 2017 E.C Irrecha festival.

Irrecha festival is a thanksgiving festival observed by the Oromo community which is celebrated most commonly during the end of a rainy season and on the onset of spring. It is mainly celebrated as Irreechaa Hora Finfinne in Addis Ababa and Irreechaa Hora Harsade in Bishoftu town of Oromia region.

In that regard, this year’s Irreechaa Hora Finfinne is will be celebrated tomorrow morning in the Ethiopian capital in the presence of thoisands of Oromos. Meanwhile, Irreechaa Hora Harsade will also be celebrated on Sunday 6th October 2024 in Bishoftu town.
