President Sahle-Work holds talks with UNHCR Chief Filippor Grandi

Addis Ababa, January 1, 2021 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde has held discussions with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi.

On the occasion, the High Commissioner, who visited Tigray to assess the security and rehabilitation efforts in the region, said that he has seen some encouraging progress.

The United Nations High Commission for Refugees will undertake various humanitarian activities in partnership with the government of Ethiopia to support the return of refugees from the region, it is indicated.

It is to be recalled that the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has visited refugee camps in the Tigray region.
