President Sahle-Work expresses condolences to Kuwait over passing of late Emir

Addis Ababa, December 20, 2023 (FBC) – The FDRE President Sahle-Work Zewde expressed condolences on behalf of the Ethiopian people and on her own to Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the royal family and the people of Kuwait on the passing of the late Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad Al Sabah.

According to the Office of the President, the longstanding diplomatic relations between Ethiopia and Kuwait has continued to be strong since its establishment during the reign of Emperor Haile Selassie I.

It is indicated that the contribution to Ethiopia’s social and economic development through Kuwait Fund has been significant.
