President Sahle-Work encourages women to take higher leadership positions

Addis Ababa, July 23, 2022 ( FBC) – Following the conclusion of the 4th round of the Presidential Leadership Training Program, 29 trainees have been graduated. This round included 108 mid-level women leaders from all regions of government, civil society and private sector. 

The aim of the program is to train women leaders in various areas of leadership to help them acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for a high level of leadership positions and to create a platform for networking with other women leaders. 

More than 15 trainers and guest speakers who shared their experience were involved in the training.

President Sahle-Work Zewde visited trainees at Sululta city, discussed with and encouraged women leaders to take on higher leadership positions. The President initiated this program with a motto “if we do not create enough women leaders and ensure succession, the door to opportunity will be closed behind us”. This initiative will also continue to hold next rounds in the coming months
