President Sahle-Work calls for strengthened pharmaceutical industry in Africa

Addis Ababa, September 30, 2021 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde, said Africa’s pharmaceutical industry can be strengthened by allowing companies to achieve economies of scale.

The President made the remark at the High-Level Event on the Third Industrial Development Decade for Africa.

“Through robust, large scale public private partnerships and integration of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area and the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plan for Africa, Africa’s pharmaceutical industry can be strengthened by allowing companies to achieve economies of scale,” she said.
