President Sahle-Work attending Pan-African Forum for Culture of Peace in Angola

Addis Ababa, November 24, 2023 (FBC) – President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde is participating in the 3rd Luanda Biennale – Pan-African Forum for Culture of Peace in Angola

The event is organized by the African Union and the Government of the Republic of Angola (the National Biennale Management Office) in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The “Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace” aims to promote the prevention of violence and conflict resolution, by encouraging cultural exchanges in Africa and dialogue between generations. It is held every two years in Luanda, the capital city of Angola.

President Sahle-Work Zewde held a bilateral meeting with her Angolan counterpart, João Lourenço, on Wednesday.

President Sahle-Work Zewde, told the press that the courtesy meeting served to address some issues, which include the strengthening of bilateral relations.

President Sahle-Work Zewde added that the two countries have a strong relationship at various levels since the beginning of the liberation struggle for Angola’s independence.
