President receives Tangible Hope Foundation CEO
Addis Ababa, January 3, 2020 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde today received Lily Yoseph, Founder and CEO of Tangible Hope Foundation (THF) at the National Palace.
Founded in 2011, THF is an organization operating in the village of Koffele, a town in west Arsi zone of the Oromia region.
It mission is to empower and protect young girls living in poverty in rural areas.
President Sahle-Work on the occasion said that the foundation demonstrates what individual initiative based on passion and commitment can achieve.
She added teaching girls is a vehicle to transform the lives of a community, according to office of the President.
Lily for her part said THF has set up a school for 100 students in Koffele and 20 students in Sidama and educate them until they finish the school.
The foundation also provides families of the students with grain and cooking oil to ensure they continue sending their girls to school.
