President holds discussion with Ethiopian community in Kenya
Addis Ababa, March 13, 2020 (FBC) –President Sahle-Work Zewde has held discussion with Ethiopian Diaspora community living in Kenya.
The Ethiopian President was in Nairobi yesterday for talks with Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
The Ethiopian President briefed Kenyatta on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and the trilateral negotiations with Sudan and Egypt.
The discussion she had with the Ethiopian community focused on current national issues and the on-going talks with Sudan and Egypt regarding the dam.
Commending the Ethiopian community for raising fund for the dam, she called on them to strengthen their contribution.
The President also responded to different questions raised by members of the Diaspora.
They commended the government’s stance in the trilateral negotiation and pledged to continue their support to the dam.
