President calls for concerted efforts to reinstate, rehabilitate IDPs
Addis Ababa, August 4, 2022 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work attended the 14th Ordinary General Assembly of Inter-Religious Council of Ethiopia on Thursday.
In her remarks on the assembly, President Sahle-Work Zewde said the religion is the basis for the deep rooted perseverance, forbearance and harmony among Ethiopians.
“Over the past two years, Ethiopia has experienced both manmade and natural disasters,” the President said, stressing a need to reimburse the losses so as to ensure the desired growth and development.
The President further called on all citizens and concerned stakeholders to support people who are affected by both the manmade and natural disasters occurred in the country.
“All Ethiopians should work together to reinstate and rehabilitate internally displaced people in several parts of the country,”
She also called on religious institutions to maintain independence from any external intervention and play thier own role in strengthening spirit of service among the people. The president further called on all citizens to join hands to ensure the better Ethiopia.
