President calls for a new social contract where education can be global common

Addis Ababa, September 20, 2022 (FBC) -President Sahle-Work Zewde virtually addressed Transforming Education Summit held in New York on Monday.

The Summit was dedicated to the presentation of National Statements of Commitment by Heads of State and Government in the form of Leaders Roundtables

Addressing the summit, the President underscored the need for a new social contract where education can be global common good and a collective responsibility.

President Sahle-Work demanded that schools be protected as unique institutions while transforming the decision-making system.
