Pres. Taye expresses sadness over passing of veteran politician Bulcha Demeksa

Addis Ababa, January 6, 2025 (FMC) – The FDRE President Taye Atske-Selassie has expressed his “deep sadness” over the passing of a renowned Ethiopian politician Kuma Demeksa.

In a message published on social media, President Taye the late Bulcha Demeksa was a great statesman of courage, integrity and political wisdom.

It is worth noting that Bulcha Demeksa, a former member of the House of People’s Representatives and the founder of the Oromo Federalist Democratic Movement, has died at the age of 94.

Bulcha had been serving both his nation and the African continent, it was indicated.
