Premier planted trees with members of Republican Guard
Addis Ababa, June 15, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed has planted trees along with members of the Republican Guard amid the green legacy planting campaign underway in the country.
On the planting occasion, the Premier said that planting trees means “living tomorrow today” stressing the need for integrating Ethiopia’s future development move with ample forest resource.
He expressed gratitude to members of the Republican Guard for the unreserved services they dedicate to the nation.
“By sowing seeds together that will outlast us, I pay tribute to members of the Republican Guard for their dedication and service to country”, the Prime Minister noted.
Ethiopia has launched the Green Legacy Campaign initiated by Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed in line with building the climate resilient green economy goal of the country by planting 20 billion trees within five years in a row as of last year.
