Premier launches Durbete-Kunzila-Golgola-Metema road projects in Amhara region

Addis Ababa, March 7, 2021 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has launched Durbete-Kunzila-Golgola-Metema asphalt road projects in South Achefer Woreda of Amhara regional state.

One of the road projects to be implemented at a cost of 2.65 Billion Birr covers 135.5 Kilo meters and interconnects Durbete, Dilamo, Yismala, Liben, Kunzila, Shawra and Finjit towns one another.

The second road project which is budgeted with 2.7 Billion has also 125 Kilo meters length and interconnects Dubaba, Shinfa , Gendawuha and Golgola towns.

The 260 Kilo Meters road projects to be carried out with a total cost of 5.3 Billion Birr funded by the government of Ethiopia will complete and go operational within three years, it is stated on the occasion.

The premier said, up on the completion of the projects, the corridor will facilitate trade for farming communities in the area and beyond.
