Premier calls on PP leadership to better serve during term in office
Addis Ababa, February 12, 2020 (FBC) –A training course given for the past 17 days to senior leadership of Prosperity Party (PP) concluded today.
Closing ceremony took place at the Prime Minister’s office in the presence of Prime Minister and President of the Party Dr Abiy Ahmed.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister said the training achieved its objectives in allowing the leadership to know each other and build their capacity to better serve the people.
Though the training was not enough, it has paved the path for the leadership to prepare themselves for a mission, the Prime Minister indicated.
He added that the leadership should always be ready to serve the people by having clear understanding on policies and regulations of Prosperity Party.
The Prime Minister finally called on the leadership to serve their people during their terms in office.
During the 17-day training program, extensive discussions were held on the comprehensive reform and gains made from it, said Awelu Abdi, Public and External Relations Sector Coordinator of PP.
The leadership had received enough training on the challenge faced during the implementation of the reform initiatives and issues that should be done next, he added.
The training was essential to build the commitment and bring unity of the leadership, Awelu stated.
