Premier Abiy meets with chairman of China Communication Construction Company

Addis Ababa, September 5, 2024 (FBC) – During his visit to Beijing, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed met with Mr. Wang Tongzhou, Chairman of China Communication Construction Company (CCCC), continuing discussions from a few months earlier, the Office of the Prime Minister disclosed today.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister praised CCCC’s role in modernizing Ethiopian cities and reiterated Ethiopia’s vision to attract tourists, including from China, which requires developing hotels, airports, and related services.

Recall that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, together with ministerial delegation, is in China for working visit and is also attending the ninth edition of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on the China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
