PP transformed challenges into victories through its foundation of fraternity, truth & wisdom – PM Abiy

Addis Ababa, November 30, 2024 (FBC) – To align with Ethiopia’s determination to overcome poverty, ensuring prosperity remains a shared aspiration for all citizens, said Abiy Ahmed, the president of the ruling Prosperity Party and Prime Minister of Ethiopia.

At the grand closing ceremony marking the 5th anniversary of the ruling Prosperity Party, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed highlighted the party’s significant achievements over the past five years.

In his remarks, the PM emphasized that the party has transformed challenges into victories through its foundation of fraternity, truth, knowledge, and wisdom. “Over the past five years, the Prosperity Party has achieved significant successes, transforming challenges into victories through its foundation of fraternity, truth, knowledge, and wisdom.”

The accomplishments recorded in the political, economic, and social sectors have tangibly benefited the people, Abiy asserted.

“Looking ahead, our focus for the next five years is to continue building a resilient nation that not only thrives but also inspires others by achieving new milestones,” he emphasized.

The ceremony was held at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in Addis Ababa under the theme “Ideological Excellence for Inclusive Prosperity.”

Present at the event among others were also Deputy Prime Minister and the ruling party’s vice president Mr. Temesgen Truneh, Head of the Democracy Building Center Coordinator Office with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister and Vice President of the Party Mr. Adem Farah, Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives Mr. Tagese Chafo, Speaker of the House of Federation Mr. Agegnehu Teshager, regional chief administrators and city mayors, and senior party and government officials, as well as diplomats of various countries stationed in Addis Ababa.

It is worth noting that the 5th anniversary of the Prosperity Party was also celebrated throughout the regionals states and the two city administrations with various events under the theme “Ideology Excellence for Inclusive Prosperity”.

Over the few past days, the occasion was celebrated with panel discussions, renovating the homes of the underprivileged, blood donations, mass sports, city cleaning, and other activities.
