PP expresses commitment to maintain peace, security, address socio-economic challenges
Addis Ababa, March 12, 2022 (FBC) – During the second day of its First Congress, the ruling Prosperity Party (PP) has expressed commitment to maintain peace and security in order to ensure wellbeing of citizens.
PP’s Public and Foreign Relations Head of the Party, Bikila Hurisa (PhD) said that peace and security is the major priority for the party. Bikila also noted that members and leaders of the PP have agreed upon the need to work round the clock to address political, social and economic challenges in the country.
According to the Head, the people of Tigray are facing difficult situation caused by hostile acts of the terrorist TPLF.
The Prosperity Party will be harnessing all peace mechanisms to bring an end to TPLF inflicted catastrophic situation in the region and help the people return to normal life.
Regarding the recurrent drought situation in low land areas of the country, the Party stressed the need to work hard in order to bring sustainable solution to the problems that are affecting livelihoods of communities in these parts of the country. PP is deliberating on five major agenda, Bikila added.
