POWs: People in Tigray suffering from catastrophic situation due to TPLF’s aggression

Addis Ababa, September 13, 2022 (FBC) – Fighters of the TPLF who have been captured by the Ethiopian joint forces revealed that people in Tigray Region are suffering from catastrophic situation inflicted by the rebel group.

The joint forces have captured rebels amid fighting in Maitemri front. The captured fighters told the media that TPLF has been forcefully recruiting one fighter per family through spread of victimization rhetoric among the community, they said.

The rebel group is forcefully conscripting children above six grades and using them as a cannon fodder, the captured fighters revealed. The people in the region are now suffering from a huge social and economic crisis due to the terrorist group, they added.
