Political parties’ leaders vow to consolidate support for successful completion of GERD

Addis Ababa, October 17, 2022 (FBC) – Leaders and representatives of contending parties in Ethiopia have visited the construction site of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) on Monday.

Representatives of the parties described GERD as a flagship project that brings Ethiopians together under one umbrella irrespective of differences.

They reiterated on behalf of their parties to redouble efforts for national unity, peace and sustainable development.

Appreciating the strong participation of Ethiopians for the construction of the dam, the party leaders and representatives vowed to consolidate support for the successful completion of the GERD.

They further called on all Ethiopians to step up their support for the finalization of the project.
