Polio Virus Detected in Jima Zone: Office
Addis Ababa, October 21, 2021 (FBC) – Jima Zone Health Office, in Oromia regional state, discloses that it has found two children contracting polio virus.
Speaking to FBC, family health care coordinator at the department, Tasew Berhanu said that it was possible to spot the virus in Dedo and Gumay districts on two children who are under five years of age.
According to him, 700 thousand infants who are under five years of age in the zone will be inoculated with polio vaccines over the coming four days.
