Police neutralize landmine laid around mosque in Sebeta town

Addis Ababa, November 25, 2020 (FBC) –Police have neutralized a landmine laid around Mohammed Reja mosque located at Kebele 04 in the town of Sebeta.

Police discovered and neutralized the mine before it explodes thanks to information provided by the public, said Berhanu Teresa, head of security office of Sebeta town administration.

Based on the information, police immediately reached to the area and prevented the blast, thereby avoiding loss of lives and damages to the mosque, he said.

He finally urged residents in the town to remain vigilant and inform police when they see unusual and suspicious activities in their areas.
