Police call on public to join hands with security forces
Addis Ababa, November 6, 2020 (FBC) – The Federal Police Commission has called on the public to stand by the side of the government and security forces.
In a press conference issued today, Commissioner General Endeshaw Tassew urged the people to provide information and expose destructive forces.
He said members of the federal police, together with other security forces, are highly prepared to maintain peace in the country.
In addition to the war it waged against the National Defence Forces and members of the federal police, the TPLF has sent infiltrators to cities across the country for terrorist activities.
He said the federal and regional police members, in partnership with militias, are arresting the infiltrators.
Endeshaw called up on the public to cooperate with police and security forces by providing information and exposing destructive forces in their respective areas.
According to the Commissioner, police had received more than 1,500 tip-offs from the public during the past few days.
