Police arrests Thai national over drug trafficking

Addis Ababa, October 28, 2020 (FBC) – The Federal Police Commission jointly with the National Intelligence and Security Service has arrested the Thai national whom it caught red handed while trafficking illicit drug.

The arrestee was caught red-handed on yesterday evening on around 10 pm  at Bole International Airport while trying to fly to Bangkok, Thailand, police said.

The operation which brought about seizure of the drug trafficker was undertaken by Illegal Drug Trafficking Control Division under the Intelligence, Drug Trafficking Control and Radio Communication Directorate of the Federal Police Commission, it was indicated.

The drug trafficker tried to conceal the 2.6 Kg cocaine in a pocket of her luggage while caught red-handed, the information from police indicates.
