Police announces 2022 Irreechaa festival celebrated peacefully
Addis Ababa, October 2, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Federal Police has announced that the Hora-Finfinnee and Hora-Harsade Irreechaa festivals, which were attended by millions of participants in Addis Ababa and Bishoftu cities, celebrated peacefully without any security problems.
Police made preparations in advance to the eve of the festival and undertook preventive work by using advanced technology in coordination with the people, the Oromo Abbaa Gadaas Union and the organizing committees of the festivals.
Police thanked the people who contributed massively to the peaceful completion of the festivals, especially the Union of Oromo Abbaa Gadaas and the organizing committee of the festival, as well as the security and intelligence forces who assumed their duties well.
The historic enemies of Ethiopia and their trojan horses, terrorists groups, are trying to cause damage and destruction in the country at every opportunity, recalled the Police.
Police, then, called on all Ethiopians at large to keep an eye on their surroundings from terrorists and strengthen the sincere cooperation it is showing in other public and religious festivals celebrated in the country.
