PM holds talks with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, WHO Chief
Addis Ababa, April 11, 2020 (FBC) –Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces have held phone talks.
The two leaders reviewed the global fight against coronavirus (COVID-19), according to Emirates News Agency.
They also discussed advancing bilateral relations and joint efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The conversation reviewed the measures taken by the two nations to fight the pandemic, as well as the international and regional efforts to bring the novel virus under control.
Similarly, the Prime Minister held phone conversation yesterday with Dr Tedros Adhanom, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO).
During the discussion, Dr Tedros updated the Prime Minister on COVID19 and the work WHO is doing globally to mitigate the spread.
“Our phone conversation yesterday further affirmed that indeed this precarious period requires collective leadership more than ever. And you are leading by example,” tweeted the Prime Minister.
