PM, First lady arrive in Bahir Dar City

Addis Ababa, October 7, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew have arrived in Bahir Dar City.

Up on their arrival at Bahir Dar Airport, the Premier and the First Lady has been welcomed by president of Amhara Regional State, Temesgen Tiruneh and other high regional government officials.

The Premier is expected to inaugurate first phase of Bahir Dar Industrial park built at 75 ha of land in the city.

Next phase of the industrial park will be laid at 125 ha of land up on completion.

Bahir Dar Industrial park has finalized screening works to create jobs for more than 4,000 individuals, and will engage 10,000 more manpower when it goes fully operational in two shifts.

And, it is expected to double job opportunities when the second phase of its working sheds is completed.

People who are displaced from the area due to the development of the park are given priority in the job opportunities.
