PM Dr Abiy visits Conakry port

Addis Ababa, January 8, 2020 (FBC) –Accompanied by President Alpha Conde, Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed visited today Guinea’s port of Conakry.

The Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed arrived in Guinea last night for an official state visit.

According to office of the Prime Minister, the visit will contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries.

It is to be recalled that Guinea Republic President Alpha Conde made an official state visit to Ethiopia last year.

Cooperation agreements were signed in 2019 between the two countries, in the areas of education, health, financial management, agriculture and culture and tourism.

The Premier will also pay an official visit to South Africa from 11-12 January 2020.

The visit aims to strengthen the diplomatic relations between the two countries and elevate their ties to a strategic level.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will meet with South African officials and Ethiopian nationals residing there.
