PM Abiy’s visit to Abu Dhabi aimed to enhace ties between Ethiopia and UAE – GCS

Addis Ababa, January 30, 2022 (FBC) – Government Comnunications Service (GCS) stated that the recent visit of Prime Minister Abiy’s working visit to Abu Dhabi is aimed to explore ways how to rnhance ties between Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates.

The GCS Minister Legesse Tulu who id a member of the high level delegation said that the leaders discussed areas of multifacted cooperation between the two countries in a way to ensure mutual benefit.

The relationship between Ethiopia and UAE has been being transformed to a higher level in all rounded aspects, the Minister said, adding that UAE contributed a lot in assisting Ethiopia to overcome its trying times.

According to the Minister, during his discussion with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, Prime Minister Abiy expressed gratitude to UAE for its support in times of need.

The crown price cobgratulated the Premier and Ethiopians for restoration of leace in Ethiopia.

The two leaders agreed to transform the ties to strategic level cooperation, according to the Minister.
