PM Abiy, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan open the Water & Energy Exhibition at Science Museum
Addis Ababa, August 18, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of UAE, officially opened the Water and Energy exhibition at the Ethiopian Science Museum.
The exhibition which aims to showcase Ethiopia’s water and energy resources as well as potential will be open for the coming weeks to the public, according to the Office of the Prime Minister.
“Ethiopia is endowed with abundant natural resources and potential. The exhibition we opened today with my brother Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed showcases the immense water and energy potential of this country,” the Premier said after the opening the exhibition.
Recall that Prime Minister Abiy and a high level delegation welcome Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, at Bole International Airport on Friday morning.
In a bilateral meeting held between the two leaders with their respective delegations, they acknowledged the ever strengthening ties between Ethiopia and the UAE. In particular they expressed the commitment to build stronger bridges in the benefit of both peoples and for the future generations.
Following the bilateral meeting, the two leaders presided over a signing ceremony of 17 agreements in various sectors, including industry, agriculture, investment and finance.
After the bilateral meetings and signing of key cooperation agreements, Prime Minister Abiy and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan planted Green Legacy seedlings marking the mutual commitment to addressing climate change in multifaceted ways.
It is to be recalled that the UAE will be hosting COP28 climate change conference this year.
