PM Abiy reviews ongoing corridor dev’t activities in Bahir Dar city
Addis Ababa, March 17, 2025 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reviewed corridor development activities in Bahir Dar city of Amhara region today and hailed the city’s stunning features.
According to the PM, the City’s corridor development has been transforming Bahir Dar into a vibrant hub of commerce and tourism, offering lessons in resilience, connectivity, and innovation.
The initiative has connected Lake Tana to the city at eight points, improving recreation and airflow while showcasing how development can complement natural assets.
“The corridor exemplifies connectivity,” Abiy noted, highlighting its role in linking projects.
He also urged the leadership of the city to be proactive and Premier further called for sustained efforts-embedding cleanliness as a cultural norm, reinforcing developed areas, and boosting trade and tourism through sites like Lake Tana’s ports and parks.
Noting that the recent development activities are just the beginning in the Bahir Dar, Amhara regional capital, Prime Minister Abiy further urged residents and officials to keep pushing forward.
