PM Abiy inaugurates Wolaita Sodo Flour and Bread Factory

Addis Ababa, December 23, 2022 (FBC) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, alongside First Lady, Zinash Tayachew, inaugurated the Wolaita Sodo Flour and Bread Factory on Friday morning.

Prime Minister Abiy confirmed on social media that the Wolaita Sodo Flour and Bread Factory is part of the Office of the First Lady’s many pro-poor initiatives.

He also stated that the project is a pathway to aspirations to make Ethiopia a regional and continental bread basket.

Built within a 9 month period, the factory at its full capacity, can produce 300k bread per day, according to the Office of the Prime Minister-Ethiopia.

It is to be recalled that the Office of the First Lady-Ethiopia is expanding similar projects in all corners of the country.
